Corda Recognized as Community Champion by Junior League
This recognition highlighted Corda’s $10,000 sponsorship to help renovate a shared kitchen used by the Junior League of Cedar Rapids and Foundation 2.
Corda Credit Union was recently honored as the Community Champion by the Junior League of Cedar Rapids, recognizing its meaningful investment in local youth and community development. The award was presented as part of the Junior League’s 2026 Fostering Strength spring fundraiser.
This recognition highlighted Corda’s $10,000 sponsorship to help renovate a shared kitchen used by the Junior League of Cedar Rapids and Foundation 2. Located in downtown Cedar Rapids, the updated kitchen serves youth in the Achieving Maximum Potential (AMP) program, providing a welcoming space for bi-monthly meals and life-skills activities.
The previous kitchen, outdated and difficult for volunteers to use, has since been transformed into a fully functional commercial space. The completed renovation ensures AMP participants can continue to enjoy hot meals during gatherings while also creating new opportunities for youth to build confidence and develop practical cooking skills.
Corda’s recognition as Community Champion reflected its ongoing commitment to strengthening communities and empowering individuals for generations to come.
