Corda was founded in 1935 by eleven visionary teachers. Until 1987, we served educators exclusively. That year, we expanded to include everyone living or working in 22 counties across Iowa.

In 2009, we imagined the Teacher Store, a nonprofit organization that provides free classroom materials and supplies to area K-12 educators.
