Honoring Joan Auterman’s 50 Years of Service
This year, we proudly celebrate an extraordinary milestone for Joan Auterman, who has served on the Corda Credit Union Board of Directors for 50 years.
Joan has helped guide our credit union since 1976
For five decades, Joan Auterman has helped guide Corda Credit Union forward with wisdom, heart, and steady leadership. Joan joined the board in February 1976 and has played an important role in shaping our credit union through decades of growth and change. She currently serves as Vice Chairperson and is a member of the Governance and Nominations Committee. Throughout her tenure, she has served in a variety of leadership roles on the board.
Beyond Corda, Joan is deeply committed to service. She has been an active member of St. Jude Catholic Church for many years, serving on numerous committees and generously volunteering her time at the annual Sweet Corn Festival. She also volunteered weekly at the History Center for over 20 years. In addition, Joan volunteers at Mercy Hospital and has held leadership roles with the Retired Teachers Association and the Eastern Iowa Heirloom Quilter’s Association. She spent 38 years teaching in the Cedar Rapids School District and has been a proud Corda member since 1971, consistently dedicating her time and energy to a wide range of community organizations and events.
We are thankful for Joan’s steady leadership, thoughtful guidance, and lifelong dedication to serving others. Her impact will be felt for generations to come.
