Member Awarded Scholarship in 2026

Corda Credit Union member Lizzy W. has been honored with a Warren A. Morrow Memorial Scholarship.

Making a lasting impact through volunteer work and a commitment to helping those in need

Corda Credit Union member Lizzy W. of Atkins has been awarded a $3,000 scholarship by the Iowa Credit Union Foundation. Lizzy, a 2025 graduate of Benton Community High School in Van Horne, was recognized for her academic achievements, community involvement, and commitment to serving others.

Since then, Lizzy has remained actively involved in her community through volunteer work and leadership opportunities. She has volunteered with Families Helping Families, an organization that supports children in foster care, and assists with youth wrestling programs.

In addition, Lizzy has volunteered through Benton Community High School’s National Honor Society at Keystone Nursing Care Center, and currently works as a dietary aide at Hiawatha Care Center.

This fall, Lizzy plans to attend Iowa State University and major in Biology. She plans to pursue a career in research, with interests in environmental and agricultural sciences or the medical field. She also intends to continue wrestling as a member of the Iowa State Women’s Club Wrestling Team.

The Iowa Credit Union Foundation Warren A. Morrow Memorial Scholarship program recognizes students who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership, and a strong commitment to their communities. Lizzy’s dedication to service and her passion for making a positive impact make her a deserving recipient of this award.
