Member Awarded Scholarship in 2025

Corda Credit Union member Delaney S. of Cedar Rapids has been awarded a $2,000 scholarship by the Iowa Credit Union Foundation. The Warren A. Morrow Memorial Scholarship winner was selected from more than 450 applications.

Delaney’s winning essay shared how Corda Credit Union helped shape her understanding of how to manage finances from a very young age and how her financial journey continues with Corda as she navigates adulthood.

Delaney graduated from John F. Kennedy High School in Cedar Rapids in 2025. She plans to attend Drake University to earn a Bachelor’s of Music Education, and then continue her studies to pursue her goal of being a professor of clarinet at a university or college.

“Earning this scholarship has been a wonderful opportunity and a huge honor for me,” Delaney said. “I am extremely excited to see where my future takes me as I strive for my Doctorate in Clarinet Studies, and I am thankful to Corda Credit Union for standing by my side and helping me in my financial preparation for college.”

In 2025, the Iowa Credit Union Foundation awarded 24 Warren A. Morrow Memorial Scholarships totaling $46,000.
