Corda Credit Union Gives Back Through Community-Driven Voting
The community helped Corda support three local nonprofits during our North Liberty grand opening.
The North Liberty Community Pantry Received the Most Votes
Visitors to Corda Credit Union’s North Liberty grand opening had the power to make a difference in their community, and they chose to support three incredible local nonprofits. Through a community vote, Corda donated $1,500 to the North Liberty Community Pantry, the organization with the most votes, and $500 each to the Optimist Club of North Liberty and the Teacher Store.
“All three of these nonprofits are making a real impact in our community, and we are proud to support their work,” said Paula O’Rourke, President and CEO. “We wanted to give our members and visitors the opportunity to directly influence how we give back, and the response was amazing.”
The winning nonprofit, North Liberty Community Pantry, provides vital food and resources to families in need throughout the North Liberty area. The Optimist Club of North Liberty focuses on programs that empower youth and promote positive community involvement, while the Teacher Store offers educational resources and supplies to support K-12 teachers in local schools.
Corda Credit Union thanks everyone who came out to vote and celebrate the important work of these nonprofits. They also appreciate everyone who joined in on their grand opening festivities and helped make the celebration so memorable. Corda is thrilled and grateful to be a part of the North Liberty community. Together, the community is building stronger local support networks — one vote, one donation, and one connection at a time.
