Member Receives Scholarship
Congratulations to our Warren A. Morrow Memorial Scholarship recipient!
Corda Credit Union member Emily C. of Cedar Rapids has been awarded a $2,000 post-high school scholarship by the Iowa Credit Union Foundation (ICUF).
The Warren A. Morrow Memorial Scholarship winner was selected from more than 430 applications. Emily’s winning application included a short essay that shared her personal experiences about what community means to her, as well as the contributions she makes in her hometown and college communities. This year, the ICUF awarded 24 scholarships totaling $46,000.
“I was honored to be chosen for this award among so many applications!” Emily said. “I am eternally grateful to the Iowa Credit Union Foundation for supporting me as I continue to pursue my academic goals.”
Emily is a 2022 Cedar Rapids Jefferson High School graduate who is working toward her Bachelor of Architecture at Iowa State University. In the fall of 2024, she will enter her third year of the five-year degree program. Upon graduation, Emily plans to become a licensed architect and join a design firm; her primary interest is in designing educational and community spaces.
