Corda Credit Union Ranks Among Best in State
National media company Forbes has recognized Corda Credit Union as one of the top credit unions in Iowa.
CORDA CREDIT UNION IS RANKED #4 IN THE STATE
Published on June 18, the 2024 Forbes Best Credit Unions in Each State report ranks Corda Credit Union, formerly known as Linn Area Credit Union, as the fourth best credit union in Iowa, after other larger credit unions with regional footprints. Only six credit unions in the state were named to the list.
“Being included among the top-ranked credit unions in Iowa is a tremendous honor, especially for a credit union of our size,” said Paula O’Rourke, President and CEO of Corda Credit Union. “It speaks volumes about our commitment to our members and our communities.”
According to Forbes, “the ranking ‘America’s Best-In-State Credit Unions’ is intended to show which institutions are most valued by residents of each state and to highlight the credit unions that stood out for fulfilling the unique needs and expectations of their local communities.”
The ranking is based on a survey of approximately 26,000 U.S. residents who, Forbes stated, “were asked to name all the banks and credit unions where they currently have — and previously had — a checking or savings account, and to identify financial institutions they know through the experiences of friends and family. Respondents were asked to share their level of satisfaction with the bank or credit union, their willingness to recommend it to others, and to rate the organization based on criteria including: customer service, the quality of financial advice offered by representatives, fee structures, ease of navigating digital and in-person services, and the degree of trust the financial institutions inspired. Survey responses from the last three years were taken into consideration, with more recent data and responses from current customers weighted more heavily in our analysis than the older data and responses from former customers and friends and family.”
The Forbes listing ranked 207 credit unions throughout the United States and excluded national financial institutions with branches in more than 15 states.
